General Information:
Following the uncontested Election on the 4th of May 2023 there are 2 vacant seats on Merton Parish Council, if you are interested in being co-opted please completed the Co-option application pack and return to the Clerk, if you are unable to download the form please email the Clerk on clerk.mertondevon.com.
The Parish Council meetings are held every other month from May, on the second Monday of the month, with extra-ordinary meetings being called as required. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings, which are held in the Clinton Hall, the dates for the 2026/2027 meetings are as follows:

Transparency Code For Smaller Authorities.
Since the abolition of the Audit Commission, the Government has introduced a Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities, which covers local government organisations such as our Parish Council. The Code requires us to publish significantly more information on our web site, and to make it available in perpetuity. So our web pages have been revised to enable access to documents back as far as 2014 – many of which have previously been published on this web site and on the Parish Council notice boards.
